IRCND 2024
We cordially invite participants from all over the world to attend the 4th International Research Conference on Neurodegenerative Diseases (IRCND 2024) sponsored by the Global Association for the Study of Neurodegenerative Diseases (GASND) on July 12-16, 2024 on the Emory University campus in Atlanta, Georgia. IRCND 2024 will be in-person and virtual. The conference will offer opportunities to researchers in the neurodegenerative disease field to discuss recent findings, exchange ideas, network, and foster collaborations. Attendees will receive the discounted rates for conference registration and abstract submission by joining the GASND.

Program Overview
Neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and other related disorders, are characterized by the loss of function and eventual death of nerve cells in the brain, spinal cord, or peripheral nervous system. Millions of people in the US and worldwide suffer from neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, there is no cure for these conditions. The underlying mechanisms of the pathogenesis and progression of neurodegenerative diseases are not fully understood. The purpose of IRCND 2024 is to highlight important findings in the field and to promote exchange of information across different neurodegenerative diseases. The program committee has planned multiple themes for the conference and welcomes all participants to submit abstracts including, but not limited to, the thematic areas below. We look forward to meeting with and learning the exciting new findings from you!
Program Themes:
senescence, neuroinflammation, epigenetics, mechanisms and pathology of AD, PD, and other neurodegenerative diseases, organelles, multi-omics, AI, and new technologies

Award
Young Investigator Award
Young Investigator Awards are available for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and scientists based on the scientific merit and quality of abstract and presentation as assessed by the IRCND Awards Committee. Applications for this award must be made online at the time of abstract submission in the IRCND website. Applicants submitting more than one abstract for presentation during the conference must specify which one they wish to be considered for the Award. Only one abstract from each participant is eligible for the Award consideration. Award winners will be selected to present their work for a short talk at the conference and be recognized in the conference program with an award certificate.
Research & Education Lifetime Achievement Award
All members in GASND have received training, guidance and advice from their mentors during different stages of their careers. The Lifetime Achievement Awards are to recognize senior investigators in the neurodegeneration field for their contributions as a mentor in training young investigators and as a renowned scientist in advancing our understanding and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. The Conference Chair and the Organizing Committee will select the awardees from the GASND community.
